L-Tyrosine is a non essential amino acid that reduces stress and improves sensory faculties.

L-Tyrosine is a precursor of dopamine and dopa (improving the memory and well-being).

L-Tyrosine is also a precursor of catecholamine (noradreline and adrenaline), satiogenes (sensation of not being hungry), and thyroid hormones (thyronine and thyroxine).

N-Acetyl–L-Tyrosine can be used to treat catecholamine retardation, which is a type of depression (weakness in catecholamine) whose symptoms are related to psychomotor retardation, hypersomnia, mental asthenia (a decline in creativity, ideation, speed, decision- making), decreased memory (lower evocation capacity), decreased impulsive intensity (a decline in libido, appetite, motivation, pleasure anticipation, anhedonie, non appreciation of rewards), decreased concentration and visual contrasts.
